With a team of 122 staff and 28 volunteers they have worked with over 11,000 participants last year and have made a significant impact improving the health and well-being, employability and skills of these individuals and their families.

“The last year was the most challenging time since our winner’s inception in 1982, when it survived the removal of European funding which rocked the community & voluntary sector across NI and forced its staff on protective redundancy notice. But it was creative in the initiatives which have ensured its survival.”

But last year was also the most challenging time for Clanrye Group since their inception in 1982.

“Clanrye Group survived the removal of European Funding, which rocked the Community and Voluntary sector across NI, and put over 50 staff on protective redundancy notices,” their submission said.

“Despite the challenges, we secured UK Shared Prosperity funding, protected 50 jobs, undergone a staffing restructure, and through all of this has managed to retain 98 per cent of our team.”

This amazing resolve and dedication, bolstered by a positive and creative work environment, helped Clanrye Group win the Employer for the Future (Medium) award.
